      Hello, I've mostly used combination modem/routers in the past so I hadn't really come up against this till now. I have an ADSL modem which serves DHCP, but only to one device. It also doesn't have a configurable IP. I plugged my router into it (connected to the WAN port, of course), but when I do that, I can't use the same subnet on the LAN as on the WAN. (The modem serves 192.168.1.x, so I have to use something else, e.g. 192.168.0.x.) What I don't understand is why those can't be the same. Aren't they separate networks? Doesn't the router's NAT take care of stuff like that? Is this just an arbitrary limitation of this router, or is there some reason it must be this way? Doesn't that create a problem in the way things are modularized? For example, when I was first configuring my router, I had the modem disconnected, and I was configuring it on 192.168.1.x. As soon as I plugged in the modem, it changed my LAN subnet to 10.0.0.x. This leads to the situation in which, if I switch out the modem, and it decides to serve some subnet supposedly "in conflict" with my LAN, my whole LAN is screwed up because it's dependent on some modem which isn't even on the LAN. Likewise, it makes for a restriction in the way I can configure my LAN, based on some silly modem that isn't on the LAN. Please help I didn't find the right solution from the internet.       Hello, The computer in question worked fine yesterday.Now, when it boots up, everything seems fine, but then within about 10 minutes of logging in, it freezes & no longer responds to the mouse or keyboard. The timing is different each time - sometimes it is the moment after login - sometimes it gives you time to get a few programs open etc before it happens. When it freezes, it doesn't just freeze everything instantly. It seems like the mouse buttons stop working, then a few seconds later the mouse itself stops working, then the keyboard stops (to the extent that the caps lock light no longer activates when the key is pressed).If there were things on screen that showed progress bars etc, or any sort of movement, these all stop moving too. 've tried rolling back Windows to yesterday morning (when it was definitely working) & have switched to a different USB mouse & Keyboard, as well as unplugging the USB hub in the monitor.Never had any problems with this machine before.Any ideas where to start looking for problems? I can see nothing in the Windows logs to indicate an obvious error occurring. Please help I didn't find the right solution from the internet.       Hello, When using Telo as router to my computer and printer, Internet speed is dead slow. My service is Verizon 50/50. Through Telo, I get 17mbps down and .46 mbps up. That's right less than 1mbps uploads. When I run, Verizon modem / router, the speed is fantastic: 58 mbps down and 64 mbps up. Please help I did not find the right solution from the internet.       Hello, I've owned a Telo for over 5 years and it works great. I convinced my elderly father to buy one. I installed it CABLE MODEM-OOMA-ROUTER as they recommend, plus a cordless phone system. A simple install. I've done nothing with the settings in the Ooma or his router, just cabled everything together. After he registered online, we got everything on the phone. However, after several minutes (not sure how long, as I was showing him how to use the Ooma website) his Internet access quit working. I have his modem, router and Ooma all plugged into a UPS, so I powered it off and back on to recycle the equipment. Everything was fine again. But sometime overnight he lost all of his Internet access again. His web browser. I did it with MODEM-ROUTER-OOMA. They had no other suggestions. I was not very satisfied, but I was not very satisfied. Before I do that, what troubleshooting should I perform or actions should I take to resolve this problem? He has a Time Warner cable broadband and a TP-LINK wireless router, by the way. Both have worked fine for years before I added the Ooma to the mix. I did it with MODEM-ROUTER-OOMA. They had no other suggestions. I was not very satisfied, but I was not very satisfied. Before I do that, what troubleshooting should I perform or actions should I take to resolve this problem?       HI,   Since 1998, My wife & I have been living quietly & peacefully in our apt. in Astoria, NY--for almost 14 yrs. However, during the past 2-3 yrs, we have been suffering (both physically & mentally) from the irresponsible neighbor (who is living directly above to our apt.), as well as the negligence from our landlord. (BTW, this neighbor from h*ll is not a legal leasee.)During the past 2-3 years, we have been always awoken in the middle of the night (at 2-3 am) for at least once a week (for almost every week). Our apt. have been flooded w/ the sewage water from the toilet (about 6-7 times during the past 18 months). The worst is there were sewage water leaks from the toilet twice, during the past 8 days As our patiences & mental healths are running out, we would be very grateful if someone could pls suggest or recommend the lawyer who is expert in the landlord & tenant case.
